Doug
Alright, this is exciting. Ladies and gentlemen. I’m here. Danna is here. Kim’s here and special guest Clara is back, ladies and gentlemen!
Danna
Ah, yes.
Clara
Thank you. Thank you.
Doug
The crowd goes insane…
Clara
I’m carrying giveaways. I’m carrying new features, new channels, and new acknowledgments. Wow.
Kim
Woohoo.
Clara
I love it. I love it. I got a lot of Facebook messages, Dougie, on our List Perfectly Facebook group, and they were saying, Clara, I’ve been sending feature requests, but nothing happens. You ask and we deliver.
Doug
So many new features have been suggested by the community, and the turnaround is crazy. Clara’s working on my teasing skills. She says that I give too much away. I wish we could give a little better, a li a little better. I wish we could give everything away, but seriously, 2022 was a year of huge growth. 2023 is gonna be. Even crazier. That’s right.
Clara
Absolutely. So many we have surpassed, oh my God. We have, I don’t even know, what is it, 50,000 signups. I’m like, it’s just insane. What? The numbers keep growing. We have a big surge of new customers. If you’re new to List Perfectly, don’t forget, okay, 365 days of the year, 24-7, customer care. No, you’re not gonna be receiving a message saying, we’ll take care of you 24 hours later, from Bangladesh, this is an American team based in America with Okay, resellers. These people are resellers. Okay, so you’re talking to an American reseller, so remember that, okay? I invest a lot of money in that. Okay? So I believe strongly in America, and everything, all the values that, and the opportunity that all of you have given me.
So I’m so looking forward to teasing. And guess what, Doug? We’re coming with more.
Doug
24-7 customer support, real sellers, real List Perfectly users available around the clock to help you. All the resources are there. We support each other. It’s amazing.
Danna
Yeah. Yes, absolutely.
Clara
I didn’t realize so much. I missed this.
Doug
Oh, we’ve missed you too. And I’m sure that the audience has but today we’re talking reseller motivation and goals for 2023. Yeah, I’ve got a list. I think Dana and Kim do. Clara always has goals and things like that all charted out. But do you want to go around and talk about top goals for 2023? So you wanna start Clara?
Clara
Absolutely. For me, goals I did not realize for those of you, I just came back from overseas and I did not realize that the pandemic affected me. more than expected. I had incredible, when I’m around resellers, I’m like, you’ve seen me and I’m, oh my God, you can’t please anybody. Make me shush because I love e-commerce, right, and reselling. But I went overseas. I was not surrounded by my community of resellers and I got a phobia; I got claustrophobia and social anxiety. So I’m gonna be working more on my meditation and balancing myself. I was amazed at how much. I could do. So that was, I surprised myself. That was something that I was very proud of as I’m a very strong fighter for mental health. I’m a very big advocate about it, and I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression, agoraphobia, and claustrophobia at the age of three after I fell from the second floor.
So that’s my goal, number one. Number two is trusting, not that I don’t trust Kim, Doug, and Dana, you’re doing such an incredible job, but. It’s incredible is how much more you can take for List Perfectly. And it’s incredible. I’m just, you completely surprised me and that’s giving me much more room to go 360 now and look at List Perfectly, very more objectively so I can see, not that I can’t right now, but it’s giving me the fact that you are so amazing, Kimmy so grateful for your incredible management of the Facebook group.
Please be patient with the Facebook group. Kim is, I’m literally not showing up. Kimmy is in charge, is new people being admins and moderators. Please be patient if it ever happens, we reverse things. We’ll make sure that your voice is always heard. We have Dana our new, I cannot tell you how happy Doug, of course, the time that he came as a director of content and he’s also doing so much more than that, I cannot even tell you.
But the fact that I’m having incredible team member Trish Glenn, who’s been trained as a director of operations. She’s preparing our 2023 US tour. Of course, we’re thinking already world tour, then already thinking world tour. So we’re doing many things that I am putting as goals thanks to an event that happened in March this year. I had to take over with Dougie on the podcast. I thought that I couldn’t be good. I never thought it would be so amazing and I never thought I miss so much my community. It’s, for me, being here is healing because literally, it’s my family. It’s like I don’t, it’s like I don’t have to explain to you.
People are not judging me thinking that I’m buying dirty clothes, which I, you, I did all my money selling vintage when nobody could touch free vintage, very literally with very few of us. So literally, I have. Everything for me. Cherry picking. You can see my page, The Clothing Vault. Thank you, Doug, for always bringing my reseller voice in.
He knows what I need spiritually. And thank you for having a podcast and helping me to bring my The Clothing Vault story. Also, you helped me to open myself up about vintage, not because I don’t want to, but just because I’m so much into the business of List Perfectly, as I miss reselling tremendously.
But thank you team, and thank you audience for always guiding us in the right path. This is for you. I make it for you. I wake up every day at four or five AM, that’s true. You. For you, but not because I have to. It’s because I freaking love it. So go and do more. If you don’t love your job, freaking change it.
You’re not a tree. Please move. Okay? You’re not a tree. I’m telling you right now, whether it’s a mental health issue, the spiritual religious family financial recession is. Coming like a freight-train people. Don’t worry, I know how to shine. I’ll give you everything. Inflation and recession, for those of you that don’t know, I’m from Argentina.
That’s the constant in Argentina. Okay? So don’t worry about it. Okay? Stay tuned to List Perfectly, I know exactly what you need. Don’t worry about inflation and recession. There is a smarter way. You can’t keep doing what you were doing before. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through that. Okay? Many big things are coming in 2023.
Make sure you subscribe and create your profile in Listing Party. I’m gonna be carrying a lot of listing parties now that Dougie and Dana–I have such an amazing team helping me to carry the List Perfectly message across our social media platforms.
Doug
That’s amazing. Wow. Yeah. And thanks again because you brought it up. Thank you for stepping in when you came into the podcast. Thank you for stepping in. Couple things. So the Seller Community Podcast is where you really, you and Amanda really first started going back and telling the story, The Clothing Vault how you sourced, how you sold vintage, and I don’t know if you know this, but those are among, and we talk about this in a couple of weeks.
Those are among the top five of all of our podcast episodes. Of a hundred episodes, over 50,000 downloads, two years in, and Kim’s story is our, that’s number three. So that’s the top-seller story of all the podcasts. So that was an amazing story.
Clara
It’s freaking real when she quit that job. I met her in person. Go listen because this happened. Everything happened in Boss Reseller Remix 2021.
Doug
It’s been an incredible year and amazingly perfect timing. Danna Crawford comes on. She’s gonna co-host with us.
Clara
Woo hoo.
Doug
Clara’s gonna come in. Clara will still be involved. She’ll come in for special episodes, and special interviews, but Dana and I will be hitting the ground running in January. In two years, we haven’t taken a podcast week off. We haven’t missed an episode, and we’re not gonna miss one this year. It’s gonna be good to go.
We’re looking forward to season three.
Clara
Woo hoo.
Danna
Incredible.
Doug
Season three. And we’re rebranding a little bit, but a lot more seller stories. And then we have other big announcements. So Danna, tell us how you feel about coming onto the podcast with me and Clara.
Danna
It all began…No, I am so excited. Yes. I just know I excite easily, but I am up a master level for getting my dream position with List Perfectly and coming on and warm welcome, and being embraced virtually. And as Director of Business Development, I’m just so proud. Ah, I’m so proud to work alongside Doug.
And I’ve always admired Doug and he’s, from eBay days, and I remember the first time I went up going, can I get a selfie with you?
Kim
Fangirl!
Doug
It was lovely. I was happy to take a photo with you.
Kim
It’s so sweet.
Doug
But yeah, so part of my goals is definitely to continue the struggle. I have an eating disorder where I love food and I just, I’m addicted to chocolate and so I’m on Jenny Craig. I’m in my fourth week and…
Clara
Congratulations! And by way, don’t play with Jenny Craig.
Danna
I finished off the Halloween candy today, so it’s gone. It’s gone. I’m not gonna buy anymore. Yes, so that’s part of my goal my biggest goal, healthy is weight loss and health. Yes, health. Something that needs to embrace. But listing goals I’ve got to focus on getting, cuz, I love my job and part of my job is listing because I continue to learn the List Perfectly platform, which I am so in love with and I’ve got it mastered. Especially love the ca-ching sound there. It’s our favorite sound. So is that, as we hear that when we’re working, icing on the cake? So I love hearing that. So I wanna hear more of it though, so I’m gonna keep trying to list more because I haven’t been listing enough and I have to redesign my consignment business.
So my consignment business, yes. I’ve gotta take a whole new angle. And thanks to one of our listing parties with cup of consignment, I learned about. A consignment cloud program through Samantha sorting with Samantha. Yeah. And the listing parties are so helpful for everybody. I don’t know everything.
I don’t know anybody that does know everything. So it’s cool when we can all get together at these listing parties and learn from each other cuz when you stop learning, you die. We don’t wanna stop learning. So have that as part of your goals.
And keep setting those goals. But you have to have rewards. But from now on, my rewards are not gonna be hot fudge. So my reward is gonna have to be more. Something to get my nails done or go for a massage, not food.
Clara
That’s a good one. Massages. It’s massages nurturing for me to learn as a former…I was, you name it. I did boxing, tennis, ping pong, standup paddle surfing snowboarding, skiing, you name it. I’ve done all sports. Okay. Unfortunately, then I was diagnosed with deformative arthritis. You can see take over my naps, deforming my hands, and not even 50. And it’s already forming my fingers. So it’s been something that I always recommend to people.
I always say people, it’s like, Ooh, but I don’t wanna be some salesperson. I’m like, it’s not about being a salesperson. It’s about listing more and making more money. So you can get massages, and get physical therapy. Less pills. Less pills, okay. And do physical therapy.
It’s not easy. I have to go and lift 50 pounds with my neck so they remove a hump because unfortunately, I have grounded shoulders that the injury that I have. I would be this deformed, like this if I wouldn’t do therapy.
Danna
So those goals are important for, and everybody starts off, admit it, you, everybody thinks about January, we, it’s getting in shape, start walking and the problem is we start to phase out.
Yes. Do keep up. So I think if we support each other and we have goals that we can help each other with, we’ll be great.
Clara
Yeah. No, absolutely. I would recommend that part is to do calendar reminders. Yeah. You have to do calendar reminders and you put a reminder of that event 30 minutes before.
So you have that 30, you know that anxiety attacks, they last or panic, they last 20 minutes. That’s, this is science. Okay? So give yourself that 10 minutes, okay? Before another attack might come because you don’t wanna leave so much because another might, one might come and you’re, or if it is not anxiety, let’s say that you have some PTSD.
Let’s say that you have maybe some depression, or maybe you have, okay. Some kind of bipolar disorder. The same concept applies. Everything starts with anxiety and a panic attack. Okay? And then it diverts to claustrophobia, PTSD or what? Or you’re having flashbacks, right? That are horrible, whatever it is.
So just know that it’s part of you. We’re human. Don’t let it be taboo and just make sure that you’re speaking about it with people that understand it. Don’t waste your time with people that will not understand, or they’re not ready to speak about it. That’s my biggest advice. And watch my mental health episode.
Danna
Yeah. So Kim, your turn. What’s your goal?
Kim
It’s funny, not funny, ha-ha, but it’s funny that we’ve brought up the anxiety and that kind of thing. I’ve been working on that a lot in the last year and my goal is to continue doing that and continue to, gain the tools and the knowledge and actually have instances where I’m tested, so I can see if what I’ve learned if I can put it into practice because I’ve had issues with anxiety ever since I can, ever since I was in grade school. You don’t, I don’t know, you get to a point where you don’t realize that you can actually work on it and be successful at least trying to get a grasp on it.
Yeah. And this last year I’ve had so much support and such strong friends and people, and I’m talking about everybody, in the List Perfectly community. My, my mom, I’m gonna cry, sorry. But okay.
Clara
I love you. We love you.
Kim
No, I love you too. And tell me Kimmy’s amazing, Kim. Let me repeat Kimmy’s amazing. And I hear from the tech part because here guys, she’s testing, she, you see her on the Facebook group. Do you think that’s her job? No. That’s like what? 30, 40% of it, she had, the new version. Hey, can you do a teaser? What’s the latest new version you’ve been testing? Tell the community, tell them.
Kim
Oh, the one that starts with the letter V? The European one? Yeah, that’s, yeah. That’s been very interesting. . It’s very, a very, at least in my opinion, it’s a very different platform. It’s, in many ways it’s just a completely different animal. It’s one that I think I can get, get used to it. It’s not that it’s a difficult thing to grasp, it’s just so many different little nuances, that eBay doesn’t have or Mercari doesn’t do, but Poshmark doesn’t follow, it’s just different. So that’s been an experience, just trying to get used to the different policies and nuances and how they handle things and that kind of thing. And you have to learn all that if you’re going to cross-post there. And oh, and by the way, I’ve made two sales, my first two sales on Vestiaire, so it’s a, it is, I, it, I will say that it’s not that I don’t like Vestiaire, I do, it’s just I just don’t want anyone to be, shocked or anything. I’m just gonna let you know now that it’s different, just give it a chance and, stay in touch with the community about it as well, because we’ll, we’ll be talking more about it and about the differences and stuff.
But it’s been an interesting experience, learning more about Vestiaire. Yeah. But yeah. But my goals, like I said, are, to continue working on myself and working on pushing myself outta my comfort zone instead of retreating from it because I don’t, people, we don’t grow, we don’t grow by retreating from that kind of thing.
And also just becoming more efficient and continuing to work on my time management. Ooh, good One-time management favors it. Yeah. Yeah. And, getting everything just to be, to fit together like a puzzle instead of, and I have gotten better, but instead of having that puzzle fit together, it’s oh, I’m a squirrel, oh, my focus and everything.
I’ve seen myself improve. in those areas as well. But there’s also always room for improvement. And that’s what I want to continue doing working on those different things. And I know, when you work on those things, everything else starts to fall in place as well.
Danna
When you’re on the right path, everything falls into place.
Doug
There you go.
Kim
Yeah. Yeah. That’s true. And then, and, you’re, you’re on the right path when it does start to fall in place. Yes. Because, okay when you’re doing this with something, it, yeah, you’re wasting your time.
You can’t do this cuz it you no. But when you, when it starts to do this and you get that, you start getting that peace and you’re going, oh my gosh. , this is where I’m supposed to be going.
Clara
I’m gonna add something very important and I’m gonna really open up with you people.
I’m gonna go super deep right now. I was never supposed to come here to the USA. I was supposed to stay two months, okay? In Los Angeles. Go roller play. Okay, beach. Okay. Go to Venice Beach, and surf a little Huntington Beach. Okay? Then go to San Diego, where I did all that, right? I am a lawyer in Canada because it’s a different legal system. Completely different. Here, I have to study again for three years. And I was not sold on the idea that I have to pay so much money to revalidate what I already know. That’s how initially I was like, huh, I’m like, okay, I would never fit here in the USA. Six months later I have a green card.
Okay. I even, I just stood up on, on the line. Okay. And I went can I stay? What are my options to stay? And I’m like, literally I was looking at the loan and I’m like, here, there is no, I’m not in this list that says that I cannot apply for a green card. Show me. And I’m like, they were like, and then they make me wait.
I’ll never forget it. And it was that easy for me to come to the USA. I never even forced it. In that, I think it goes with what you said, Kim when if you’re trying, I have friends that went to the lottery like 14 years in the lottery. They never were selected. And I’m like, it’s just not meant to be moved on.
You can’t, one thing is to be determined. But another one is just to be just stubborn and not letting the universe and life guide you to maybe you are supposed to go and sometimes it’s not what you think. I never thought I didn’t wanna become the c e o of a software company. I did not.
I love reselling. I love reselling. Okay. CEO of software. It’s not my community. My cup of tea if you mean. I’m glad that we partner with incredible partners. Those ones I do get along very well and I can, I wanna sit down and so forth, and the marketplaces that we support and everything.
But other than that, it was not in my, if you could have told me 20 years ago, Clara, you’re gonna start from Target cashier. Okay? I kid you not. Okay. Target cashier and you’re gonna be the Co-CEO of a multimillion-dollar company. Okay. I would’ve never believed it. Yeah, there I am. Believe me, it did not go according to my plans and nothing. Alright, but go with the flow. Said, Kim. I have to, sorry. I’m hogging in the microphone, Doug.
Danna
I love hearing your stories. Thanks for sharing. But Doug, do you have goals? I probably…here’s my list.
Kim
Whoa, good for you.
Doug
I have I have probably too many, but I have List Perfectly goals. I have personal goals, I have health goals. I want to grow the podcast. I want to grow the blog. I wanna do more events next year and just keep branching out. I think I had a lot of growth at List Perfectly this year. It was amazing. And Clara was very helpful with that. And there was some of that where I was, Clara knows this.
I was battling myself and it’s still, always a thing. So I wanna keep improving that. I’m very lucky. I love my job, I love my team, and I love the community. I’ve been in the community. I don’t even remember when I worked at eBay, or how many years ago it was, but almost four years there.
And just I, the little part I was out of it. I missed it. Came back. Love the podcast. Looking forward to next year with that. Thank you, Clara. Thank you, Danna. Thank you. List Perfectly, the whole team is amazing and we always support each other. Always have each other’s backs. Yep. And then I have, the.
Things like I wanna start posting more on social media. I wanna relaunch, on the side my music podcast, some stuff that I had set aside to grow in other areas. Get back into that. Cuz, I love music.
Clara
That makes me very happy. that, take that audience. You must have something non-work. Okay. You have to have an outlet. And Dougie was an incredible drummer. Drummer and I think you were a vocalist too, right?
Doug
No, just a drummer. I would sing in the background.
Clara
Oh yes. Oh yes. So I love that. I love to hear that you launched that because that’s, Amanda for example, she geeks out on it, and she loves it because she does software. So she goes and buys a lot of hardware and she starts, oh guys, there is a whole garage of hardware where she can transform a car into a camper she loves, or then she just buys, I don’t know, like a fence and connects it with the lamp and then the, I don’t know if you have something. I don’t know. Like a true my, there you go.
She goes bananas. So having an outlet. Sorry that was, I love that. I love to hear that. I can’t wait to hear your podcast. Is it gonna be a podcast or just a podcast or video? Are you gonna do it concurrently?
Doug
I think I’m gonna do both. And it’ll be on my own time, don’t worry.
Clara
Multi-channel! Multi-channel!
Doug
And you’ll all have to come on. We’ll talk about music. It’s about music and like your early music memories, so we could do that. And I’m gonna write again. I haven’t written for a long time, so I’m gonna write again.
Yeah. And then real quick, I’m not getting any younger. I did my old man checkup and I’ve got some things I have to change and my wife is keeping an eye on that, like counting the bread and stuff like that.
But, no, but I have to eat better, so I’m gonna do that. I don’t, I’ve got some things that run in my family. Diabetes is in my family on my mom’s side, and it’s not, I don’t wanna, don’t want to go down that route. I would like to eat better. There was Halloween candy at my house that was hidden, but I found it. Candy. It was, it’s like blood in the water for a shark. I’m like, , I know there’s some candy in this house. I will find it. And I did. You can’t have that stuff around but eat better, and exercise more. My son is taking, has started, we haven’t gone for a bit, but he takes me to the gym and helps me with working out, weights, and things like that.
And then yeah, just working on and it’s been great with List Perfectly. Work-life balance is good. And just taking the time to appreciate everything and not let stress get to you. Cuz I, yeah. I had a period early last year where it was like a, it was a challenging time. But no, and just always growing, always improving, and yeah. So thank you.
Danna
And toxic people. It’s hard to let go of sometimes, people, but sometimes you have to shut the door on the people that are feeding you with all that negative. I had a girlfriend; she was my co-leader. I was a Girl Scout leader for nine years. And she was my co-leader. And it got to the point where she was so negative, I just, I couldn’t take it. And I had to end that friendship and it’s…
Clara
Now I wanna add something okay to that because sometimes, and this is why you need to let go.
Because sometimes two people can bring something negative and the same person with another person, poof, shines. So you gotta, I love what you just said, Danna. And it’s not, that we can say, hey, that person is, the problem is that it didn’t work. That is the chemistry and sometimes people are going through a very dark phase, right?
That one you can’t, you have to understand, you cannot help. Nobody to get out of depression. Anxiety. Nope. Nope. No. It has to be asked.
Danna
That’s a good point. That’s a good point.
Kim
So true, 100%.
Doug
I had a few girlfriends like that I had to let go of over the years…
Kim
You shut the door, locked it, and burned it down.
Doug
Changed my number. New phone, who dis? One last thing though? One big important goal is I am gonna start listing again too. Oh, yes, that’s right. Listen, where’s the Consignment Chat ladies? I’m gonna list those books.
Kim
I know a really awesome crosspost service. You could use Doug.
Clara
I wanna carry along on that one. My goal is I’m gonna be the virtual assistant, and virtual lister at Listing Party. I’m gonna be your lister, so I can’t wait. I might not have time to resell, but I can’t wait. Okay. To start listing. And this, I’m just gonna do randomly. Whoever wants, I’ll just list for you and my specialty.
Doug
Come to my house. Do you come to our house? Come over to Florida.
Clara
I’ll do it in person. I’ll show you. I was a banker for 10 years. I can type really fast. Okay. That’s something I take pride in. Okay. But yes, that’s my goal. Since I don’t have time to be a reseller, I can’t wait to be listing whether it’s in person or virtually for our community and give, but at the same time you receive.
Danna
There you go.
Kim
That’s so cool.
Danna
I will hire you.
Clara
Done. Can’t wait. Can’t wait to help you.
Kim
Everybody. Sign up for a listing party so you can get Clara.
Doug
There you go. And you never know the mystery, the mystery lister.
Danna
Oh, there you go.
Doug
Miss Lister. You never know. Could be a new feature. I’ll suggest it to. Oh, there you go, I’ll suggest it to List Perfectly.
Kim
Feature request.
Doug
So lemme ask. Oh, go ahead Danna.
Danna
No, I was just, I can’t take it anymore. Clara, I need to know how are we gonna keep track of our goals. Oh, I love it. Okay. Let me go and see. Did they, do they put it?
Clara
They did it. Okay. Done. Alright. Okay. If you don’t mind. You got it. Alright. People, you know how much I love sharing Listing Party. Here we go. So everybody, no extra cost, we are adding goals.
Why? Because you can do it on a calendar. Okay. We try how recommending putting a calendar, but also, okay, add goals here in Listing Party because you’re gonna have pop-ups and this is how you’re gonna be adding goals. For example, it could be listing like Danna said, I wanna do listing, I wanna create that’s my thing. Okay. Quantity that I commit, I would like to do for next year. I’m gonna do a thousand listings. Okay. Set your date. All right, we’re gonna set a custom date and I’m gonna do it.
All right, so I would like to do it by the end of the year. Okay? November, December. Alright, we’re gonna do it on the 31st. Okay? So that’s what I choose in 12:00 PM and then VA or personal listing assistant. All right, save. I save my goal. And done. There it is. There you go. We’re gonna get reminders.
So I wanted to show you, there is a tab for overview for completed and then upcoming. That’s what List Perfectly is gonna be giving you. We’re gonna have motivational quotes. Analytics is gonna be shown here.
It’s gonna be populated from List Perfectly so you can keep an eye on it. I’ve been there. Okay. This was built already for me by Amanda. One thing is to build it for one person. Okay? But one, another one is to build it for all of you. It worked for me.
Everything I build in with my reselling income. I was a vintage seller. The Clothing Vault, I was on the track of half a million dollars when List Perfectly took but went viral. So I’m telling you this works. Holding yourself accountable to calendar reminders and then putting in Listing Party your goals so you can hold yourself accountable because it’s listing for those of you that maybe you’re alone, you don’t have a co-founder like myself, maybe you’re like Kim or Danna, working or Doug, you know you’re gonna be alone.
Listing can be very lonely. So we wanna give you the tools so you can excel and hold yourself accountable. Accountability, and, resetting those goals, and having the flexibility to maybe postpone it a little, but keeping track of those of your okay, performance. Crucial.
Kim
Absolutely.
Doug
And I think it’s, and you don’t want to be working off like this, but the other thing is having it all in, having all that stuff in one spot, it makes it more efficient. Saves you time. I have three things that I use to track to-dos and goals, and it’s getting it all in one spot.
Danna
Yes, of course.
Doug
It’s huge.
Kim
And if you’ve got your goals and everything in one area and you can visit that area, often you’re gonna get a constant not just reminders, but a constant interaction with those goals and like me, I have to have, if I’m gonna reach a goal, I have to have it somewhere where I can see it for, if it’s on a post-it, that’s fine. Whatever. Now I can put it in Listing Party. But, pre-listing party, I’m having post-its, I’m having notebooks I’m having, and I will write down goals and I’ll put a box beside each goal so I can check that off. That’s, yeah. So important to me to be able to check that off and scratch it off and go, okay, that’s done.
So yeah. That’s what I get excited about and that’s what motivates me is after I reach a goal and I can scratch that goal off or that, that thing off my list, it’s like, whew, all right, I got that done. Hey, I can do more. And it’s rewarding.
Danna
Yes, definitely.
Doug
And look, it’s live.
Clara
That’s awesome, set your goals and be flexible. Okay? Forgive yourself. Like I told you, nothing happened at the time that I plan and how I plan. But did you give your best today? That’s all you can focus today on yourself, be you. I can’t control what Danna is gonna do.
I can’t control what Doug is gonna do. I can’t control what Kim is gonna do, but I can control what I do, how I do it, and if I gave my best just. Focus on today. If you focus too much on tomorrow, that’s anxiety for sure. If you focus on yesterday, okay. Depression, PTSD. So make sure, okay, set your goals, okay.
And then acknowledge whatever you’re feeling, respect it and then, take your time and then focus on your goals.
Kim
Compare yourself to yourself. Do not compare yourself to somebody else. That’s, everybody has their own set of things. They work on their own, their own way of doing things, their own, way of life.
Everything is so different for each person. Yes. So always base your success on yourself. Don’t look at, oh so and so did, doesn’t matter. It’s all right here.
Doug
Self-reflection is important. And I always say too my wife and daughter have anxiety and I try to support them, but I don’t. I have certain things, but not like they do. And so I will tell them, it’s iif you can’t focus on the day, focus on the hour. If you can’t focus on the hour, focus on the minute. But, and it’s always a struggle too, try and focus on focus on the moment in time. I remember Clara earlier this year, Clara and I were standing together talking on a business trip and a hotel room, and we just stood together and looked at it, we had a beautiful view.
We realized we’re like, we were talking and it was like, look at this view. So we took, and we were arm in arm and we breathed together, and we took in the view and we were like, even when we’re on these trips and stuff, we need to focus on these moments and enjoy these things, smell the flowers.
Yes. Like I love to lay in the backyard with the dogs and just look up at the clouds. It’s a nice little refocusing thing.
Danna
Yeah. And then don’t beat yourself up if you’re not meeting your goal. Just deal with it and set a new goal or adjust the goal. But don’t beat yourself up.
Clara
If you cannot even forgive yourself how are you gonna forgive others? Yes. Don’t forgive others, you become a judge. Okay. And when you become a judge, you become self-centered and you know it all. I know it all. And you become with that very let’s say very distracted personality that really turns off people.
And we have to imagine, as CEOs, we have to take a lot of training on that because otherwise, powers get to your head. You know it all and know. You have to eat humble pie every day. Make sure you do it. You practice. And that is gratitude, which starts with gratitude and gratitude.
Have you sat down and been grateful? You can breathe. We just came out of a pandemic. There are people hooked up with freaking breathing machines people. There are people that lost their houses got sick lost families. , nobody likes you when you’re broke and you have death.
And let me tell you, the family will start disappearing. Friends disappear. I’ve seen it every time. Don’t forget, I’ve been low. I lost it all after my dad died at nine years old. That example started very early for me in life. But I’m here to say, e-commerce is healing and anybody can find a little something okay, to resell. And just try to be there, first thing in the morning, for the thrift stores, whatever it takes, okay to get that cheap inventory and ask your family as friends, with even, did you guys, I even sourced, okay, one of the sourcings that I did is going on the alleys of the expensive neighborhoods on Beverly Hills.
There is so much in the expensive neighborhoods. You go on the alleys and then, you gotta be respectful because sometimes, they could, they don’t like it, and as long as you’re being respectful and silent, and so forth, and not bothering and doing daylight, so you’re not making them feel comfortable.
But I’m telling you, I’ve done everything to source.
And, just a reminder, of, staying true to yourself and believing yourself in that. Just hang out with people that wanna hang out with you. Remember we talk about its start, just, it’s meant to be, it’s just meant to be, and understand, the time for everybody varies and just remember, again, it might not happen how you want it when you want it, it can happen and it’s up to you to understand if it is meant to be or not.
Okay. And that’s why I can share to make sure you make those commitments because you can also add those goals. Maybe, in maybe you wanna clean, your Facebook. Okay. I do that. Sometimes I clean, Facebook, I, and people I haven’t talked to like in seven years. I know that we just drifted apart.
So it’s sometimes just better, to put this and see where the universe takes. I have friends in Argentina that I didn’t talk to for 20 years and now were bread and butter.
Danna

Kim
We need to hear everybody’s stories and everybody’s comments and where they’re at. It that’s the whole thing of this community, yeah. That’s why we’re all so close.
Doug
This was awesome. Any final words panel?
