Intro

Liz:

Welcome to The Seller Community Podcast from List Perfectly. I’m Liz.

Doug:

And I’m Doug.

Liz:

And this is episode 42. We’re burning through them now, Doug,

Doug:

We are. Yeah. And it’s the post-Thanksgiving episode.

Liz:

It really is. I’m kind of running slow, a little sluggish, a little tired still. I think the Turkey’s still set in,

Doug:

I know I shouldn’t tell you this, but you do look a little tired. You can’t smack me!

Liz:

That’s mean! That’s mean!

Doug:

As your friend, as your friend!

Liz:

I will tell you he’s not lying. I think most resellers, this was a busy weekend and we’re tired. I think I’ve been seeing a lot of resellers have some great sales this weekend. My sales took an uptick. I’m not complaining about that at all. I’ll take this tired look and ship out all those packages. How was your Thanksgiving?

Doug:

It was good. I mean, well, first of all, congratulations on your increase in sales. We can see behind you. You’ve got a lot of, uh, your office for you is a little disorganized. You got a lotta bags laying around. Your mannequin’s topless, which is, we usually don’t see that. But you told me you literally sold the shirt off her back. Yeah, my Thanksgiving, it was good. It was nice to have some time off. We had some craziness. One of my dogs got sick. Thanksgiving week is short. So you try to pack everything in on those three days. I had a crazy week like everybody did. And then finally, so Wednesday night I sit down, have a glass of wine. We’re just getting ready to start a movie. And then the dog is ill. So we go and uh, he had to go. So moose had to go spend the night in the ER, the dog ER.

Liz:

That’s so sad. How is Moose now?

Doug:

He’s better now. He’s pretty much back to normal. Um, but let’s just say he got his Christmas present last week. So don’t ask for anything else. No new collar, now new breath mint toys, or toys that you can destroy in five minutes. Let’s see. Yeah. He’s good though. He’s doing all right. Yeah. So congratulations on your sales. I have no sales because I still have to relist everything, but that’s my big news for the week. Supposedly my son is going to start listing my stuff and my wife’s stuff using List Perfectly. So we’re going to teach him, he knows how to use it, but we’re going to teach him, we’re going to set up a system where he does it in the notes. As my wife says, ” just like Liz does it.”

Liz:

Call me Mer. Speaking of List Perfectly, Did you see the live?

Doug:

I did see the live, the thankful live.

Liz:

Yes. And Clara and Amanda had some cool List Perfectly announcements.

Doug:

That is true. Obviously very thankful for our community and you know, all that we do back and forth. But yeah, like you said, they had some cool announcements and that’s kind of, kind of the reasoning behind today’s episode.

Liz:

So we’re super fortunate to have back our listener’s favorite Patrick from List Perfectly to kind of talk about some of the things that’s been going on with List Perfectly. Some of the things that we can look forward to and really just talk about List Perfectly and listing.

Doug:

It’s always fun to have Patrick on the show. And so we have Patrick, some seller shout outs and some news.

List Perfectly Updates With Patrick From List Perfectly

Liz:

Welcome to the studio today, Patrick, how are you? How was your Thanksgiving?

Patrick:

Hey, hello. It was good. It was good. I ate a ton. I’m moving slow. I’m glad I’m not selling anything, but I always start the first Thanksgiving round of meals off with “why don’t we ever eat this the rest of the year? Why is this only once a year?” And then, so that was at my fiance’s for lunch. And then the second round at my family. It’s like, I think I remember why I don’t eat it that much. And then I had it for leftovers on Friday. And by that time I just said, “I hate Thanksgiving. Why Turkey or anything?” So, it was good though. It was a good time. Good to see family. It was a larger group setting than the previous years. So, it was good to get some, to get the group together again. So I hope your guys’ was good as well.

Doug:

So we love to have you on, because you always have your little tidbits, but I know you’re waiting for this. Let me find your little, your little sound effect…

Patrick:

There it is.

Doug:

Some of your, your magic for us, your golden tickets. What do you have? And then of course, we’re going to try and push you, but you, he’s tough cookie to crack tell the truth.

Patrick:

Yeah, I don’t really spill too much really these days, but, yeah, like Liz said at the beginning, Amanda and Clara did their live last week and announced that through December leading up to the holidays and everything that new features would be coming out each week. So, you know, Merry Featuremas,we haven’t coined any kind of phrase internally, but it is, it’s fun. It’s exciting. And it just kind of continues to go with what Amanda and Clara have always tried to do and continue to give back to the community and give features and improvements at no additional cost or anything like that. So that’s what’s really good. So yeah, they made that announcement last week. And then the first one ,the first feature that was released was the bulk action image manager features.

Patrick:

So for everybody that is an active Pro Plan member or for the users that aren’t, there’s some features in the List Perfectly Image Manager, like the PhotoRoom, background remover integration that now can be done in a bulk setting. So just like your bulk cross posting from List Perfectly, a very similar process. You’re going to have your images there. You’re going to select your images in bulk, as many as you would like and then you’d be able to remove backgrounds on all of them and then continue working while that process is being run in the background and removing all the backgrounds. So, it is a really cool feature. It was really nice. And it’s really just kind of, to be honest, it’s just kind of the start of the bulk actions that we’ll see. We introduced bulk image background removers and bulk restore images. So, if you’re a Pro Plan member, you’ll notice that little menu there, but it’s just kind of at the beginning and we’re gonna, we’re going to go from there, but these were definitely the most sought after.

Liz:

Let me tell you as a user that uses PhotoRoom, okay. So I have the PhotoRoom pro plan and that’s what I use. And then I would take my pictures, run them through the PhotoRoom background remover, then upload them to List Perfectly, even though List Perfectly…well, first let’s back up. Patrick, List Perfectly went from 500 background removals to a thousand background removals the week before.

Patrick:

Let’s get out this Featuremas and get to just, you know, a Thursday afternoon and we’ll just up the PhotoRoom background removal limits and everything. Yes, correct. That was kind of the precursor to this update. List Perfectly, went from 500 removals a month up to a thousand.

Liz:

With that, I didn’t really use it in List Perfectly. I celebrate it. I’m like, this is great for people that need that. Even as a pro PhotoRoom subscriber, I would still take my pictures on my phone and run them through PhotoRoom and then just upload them via mobile on List Perfectly. When List Perfectly went up to a thousand, I was like, “this is super cool. Maybe I should think about using it.” But what stopped me is just the one by one, because I like to remove all of my backgrounds. So I would have to do it one by one. The second that bulk feature came out, I will not get rid of my PhotoRoom, background remover because I use it for other things, right. So I use PhotoRoom for more than just my background remover and it works. But now my listing photos, let me tell you, I snap those pictures, upload it via mobile and do that bulk remove listing. And I can sit there and choose my template and type my title by the time I get done and save what I’m on. So when I sit down to list, I don’t have to do that anymore. I don’t have to take my photos and then remove the background and have duplicate photos saved in my phone. So it’s saving space on my phone and it’s saving me time. So I’m not having to do it one by one, which is freaking amazing.

Patrick:

Yeah. I mean the PhotoRoom itself is amazing. I mean, the app wins awards, everything. I mean it’s amazing. The PhotoRoom integration as a List Perfectly member is amazing times two for creating listings and you know, increasing your speed when listing and everything, especially if you’re, well, I mean, it’s great for everyone, but if you’re somebody that’s using it on mobile and you’re somebody that lists on the fly, you’re sitting there taking pictures, you’re doing your listings, you’re doing everything. You’re just knocking it all out one by one. This is huge because you are right. You’re snapping 10 photos. You’re selecting all photos right into List Perfectly while that process is running, you’re finishing up the listing. So again, it’s really hammering in that these are features that are being released to increase your productivity, to make listing faster, not to slow you down. That’s where we get into these kinds of these bulk actions when the Image Manager features were released a couple months ago now, we knew right away that this was going to be a heavily used feature. A PhotoRoom integration was going to get used a ton. How do we take something that’s already great and make it better for listers, for List Perfectly members? And this was definitely one that we knew we wanted to get to that level, to help people out and go faster.

Liz:

Well, this bulk remover feature isn’t even available on the app. Like you literally have to bulk select your items and you still have to push next. So this is a feature that’s not even available to subscribers because this is done on desktop. So I hear this question a lot and I’m putting you on the spot, Patrick. So I hear this question a lot. Can I integrate my PhotoRoom subscription into my List Perfectly listing? It’s my understanding that they’re just not the same. Can you talk about that just for really quick?

Patrick:

So yeah, they are not the same. So they are two different, two different things. The PhotoRoom integration is simply a feature of the List Perfectly Pro Plan. It’s an integration that is built together to work together and remove backgrounds for photos. The PhotoRoom membership and app, and everything is a complete and total different process and everything with lots of different features that they do. The app itself handles changing colors of backgrounds or creating holiday cards or whatever else it may be. So that’s just, it’s just a different thing. So again, this is a Pro Plan feature at no additional cost to just use it. Now, if you’re a List Perfectly Pro Plan member, and you find that you’re only using List Perfectly and that you’re, you’re using those thousand images and everything, the remove background. Okay. Then that’s great. But if you get a ton of value out of the app, still and everything that’s perfectly fine, too, if that works into your flow, then that’s great. And that’s, that’s always something that we are very careful about as well is not boxing any user into something that maybe they don’t want to do, or maybe it doesn’t work into their flow. So if your work flow’s to use, you know, a different background remover, save the images, keep them on the phone, upload them and everything, then that can totally still be done. And, you know, if you want to really maximize and remove backgrounds and upload your photos as fast as possible for creating listings, you’re going to want to do it through List Perfectly.

Liz:

Yeah. I love that.

Patrick:

It will be the fewest clicks. I mean, you talk about people being click snobs, that’s the whole game, let’s reduce the clicks. Let’s make this faster for everyone.

Liz:

I love that you just called me click snob because you know, that’s what I’m all about.

Patrick:

I assume so. Can we come out too quick? Yeah, but I mean, honestly though, when you start compounding all of those clicks and you’re clicking and you’re, you know, you’re creating listings over and over, even the small little changes and updates, make the process better for everyone involved. You know, it’s just kind of how it works and everything . Some things are always going to require some clicks, but if it can be improved, we would love to do it. That’s for sure.

Liz:

Bulk background remover has definitely saved some clicks.

Patrick:

Yeah, yeah. A lot.

Doug:

Well, and like you said, that all adds up, but what’s great too, is you’re adding more value to that Pro Plan and the price is not going up and it’s just…

Patrick:

Yeah. You know, that’s a goal for sure with List Perfectly is to make sure that we’re continuing to build up these plans, these subscription levels while staying affordable and staying at price points that that users signed up for.

Doug:

Well, yeah. And you know, it’s not some convoluted pricing system that charges per listings, or that’s not clear, you know, it’s pretty clear what you get. And I think it’s pretty clear that the Pro Plan is by far the best value and that’s what you should go for. But what do I know?

Patrick:

Yeah. There are lots of reasons to be on the Pro Plan for sure. It’s the most robust, it’s great. I think it’s the best and when you are on it, and if you ever, downgrade or change your plan or anything, most people find themselves coming right back to it. That’s for sure. There’s a lot of features that are on it now there’s lots of other features on the Business and Simple plan, nothing to take away from that at all. It’s just, when you start using some of these features, especially these kinds of integrations and everything that really carves out a lot of that, make up all the time saving. It’s a big deal for people to take advantage of.

Liz:

So I’m glad that you mentioned that. So we covered that Clara and Amanda announced that there would be new features released each week coming. Our subscribers to the Simple and Pro plan? Are they going to see an impact?

Patrick:

Yeah. So every bit…this has been part of the mission and everything as we get into this is that all plans will get that update. So nobody’s going to get forgotten. Nobody’s going to, just like when we released the Image Manager and things like that, all plans felt that update and that change. So yeah, it is not going to be Pro Plan exclusive. Sometimes you’ll get, I do this personally with other subscription plans and things like that, where you’ll sign up for something you’re like, “well, what am I missing? This plan is never going to get updated or anything like that.” So this is not going to be the case here at all. So as we move through the coming weeks, there’s going to be updates to all plans that will find value in it.

Liz:

That’s amazing. So what’s the next update? Can I get you to spill the beans?

Patrick:

No.

Doug:

She’s trying to direct you around.

Liz:

I’m trying!

New Speaker:

Let’s just say, for example, you were gonna share something, what would it maybe be like?

Liz:

I’m trying you guys, I’m trying y’all I’m trying to get it out of him.

Patrick:

Sorry, yeah.

Liz:

We just have to wait and see.

Patrick:

Just wait, just wait. It’s worth it. It’s all good stuff. You know, it’s good features that the community are going to appreciate. And like, while everybody’s really busy right now, List Perfectly has no intention of interrupting anybody’s process or flow, anything like that. This is a busy time. People are selling, shopping, shipping, everything. So this is just gonna really help out with that. That’s it, that’s the whole goal here.

Doug:

And speaking of helping out. So a couple things recently that have changed that I love is that we’ve really expanded the community pages, so on the website and then within the extension as well, it’s much clearer where you can go for help to ask questions for support. And I really like the content, but I love the Quick Start guide. And I love that we’ve launched this List Perfectly Guide now. So can you tell us about those?

Patrick:

Yeah. So, obviously not as exciting as the bulk image release of new features coming out, but, but you’re right, these are all changes that have taken place. The most recent one is definitely the List Perfectly Guide update. This was quite an overhaul that is very in depth. Like when you buy a new refrigerator and they’ll give you a little pamphlet, you’ll get the little pamphlet. That’s like the quickstart. It’s like opening the door and then ice comes out here, then you’ll get like, when they deliver it, that guy’s gonna throw it on the counter, like the book that’s like three inches thick. And that’s where you can find out where to replace the filter. If it’s cloudy and raining outside or something like that, just craziness. The LP Guide is the in depth refrigerator manual to help you solve anything that you need to solve. And that’s not to say it’s difficult, like a manual that’s to say that we’re covering everything to help you out to make sure that it’s as easy to get started, easy to integrate into your specific business. The other thing is that the guide is really designed now at this point to be very inclusive into everyone’s processes and flows. And that means really making it clear what you can do on mobile devices or what you, how you would go about accomplishing that on mobile devices. We see a lot of times that the common, the common thing and the idea or the question is, does List Perfectly have an app? It’s very common, and to answer it, you know, can you go to the Apple App Store and download the List Perfectly app? No, there is not an app for that. Can you visit List Perfectly application from your mobile browser and complete processes from there? Absolutely. And so a lot of times you’ll find that people don’t really realize this. They don’t, they don’t know what they can or can’t do from mobile, which, hey, I mean, you know, everybody’s pretty mobile these days. They like to do it. They like to do it from their mobile phone.

Liz:

So it’s funny, you mentioned that. Cause yesterday, well, earlier this week, somebody asked about it in the Facebook group. So I started a thread in the Facebook group about 18 months ago on how to use List Perfectly via your web browser and how to stick it to your home screen or add it to home screen. And this thread still gets comments like it was active today.

Patrick:

It looks like an app. It really does. It behaves like an app. That’s the thing. I think a lot of times people are very comfortable on their mobile devices and the marketplace apps are great. Like them, for the most part, they’re all very good and they make it easy to work inside of everything. Can you do everything from the app? No, you gotta, you have to handle some of your business on the desktop and everything. So, you know, List Perfectly, you can do lots of things in your List Perfectly account from mobile. If that’s where you’re comfortable, if you like working on mobile, if it fits into your flow and everything, but you don’t have to, you don’t have to stay on an application by any means. You can go on desktop, you can start a listing on mobile, you can finish it on desktop. You can create new templates on mobile. There’s lots of different, different ways to use it.

Liz:

Yeah.

Doug:

I actually learned that from Liz, you start it on mobile, start your draft and start on mobile for your pictures. Start your draft on there and then, you know, finish it on the desktop. But it’s just easier for me to take my photos that way. And, the two just work together really well. So I just basically pretend it’s an app on my phone.

Liz:

Well, there was just a conversation about that and I hear it a lot. You know, the question gets asked a lot for resellers. How do you get your pictures from your phone to your desktop so that you can upload your photos into List Perfectly? And my answer is always, “you don’t have to cut that step, do it right there from your phone, dump it into a listing.” You know, I start it on my phone and then when I’m ready to list, I just sit down at my desktop because that’s where I’m more comfortable. Maybe one day, I don’t know, like three years ago, I wouldn’t even take a picture on my phone and I’m like, that’s stupid. It’s not going to be as good. And here I am ditching my DSLR camera because my iPhone pictures are just as good for product photography. So, you know, I was able to wean myself from that old timer, right. Wean myself from taking pictures on a real camera and just do it from my phone and then be able to teach myself, just do it straight from my phone, into a listing. And you can start it right on your phone. Maybe one day, maybe one day I’ll get efficient enough to do everything from my phone, but I’m not there yet.

Patrick:

Yeah, I mean, and that’s just not realistic to think that everybody will even want to get to that point or will find themselves as productive. You know, for me, I can type way faster on a keyboard than I can on my mobile phone if I’m, you know, that’s me personally and everything. But yeah, I mean, there’s been so many updates and companies like Apple and their own features that make the process even easier as well, like days are gone of finding a cord to plug into your phone, to plug into your device, a transfer to upload photos. I mean, yeah, you’re Airdropping, you’re using Google share. There’s Dropbox. There’s lots of different ways to even do it from there. And that’s if you’re choosing not to create listings right on your mobile phone with List Perfectly.

Liz:

Right. And I get that there’s a time and a place for that to happen. But for me personally, you know, I’ve been able to evolve with that and I appreciate that I can even do this on a phone.

Patrick:

Right? Absolutely.

Liz:

Patrick, anything else coming up from List Perfectly that you can tell us about?

Patrick:

Hmm…

Liz:

This is my one last shot guys. I’m trying.

Patrick:

Yeah. I mean, you tried pretty hard. Honestly, I don’t really have anything to share right now. I can tell you that there’s lots of things in the works. 2022 is going to be great. You know, we’re, we’re getting close to wrapping up this year. As we look forward to the projects that are on deck, it’s definitely a good time to be part of the LP family and using List Perfectly. Because it’s really going to get even better than it is now. There’s lots of things on tap that’s really gonna really help you manage your business and accelerate sales, which is always, you know, it’s always the goal, to really help you grow your business. It’s not just to be a tool in your business. It’s really to actually help you grow. So knowing that, knowing the direction and knowing what we meet about daily, I think it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be exciting. I expect to be featured more often and talking about, you know, it may have to, there may be some releases we’re going to have to, you know, kind of stack these stack, these showings up to, you know, people are going to get sick of hearing me all the time, but okay…

Liz:

Hey Patrick, I’m going to tell you this right now. We’re just going to lay it out. So listeners, this one’s for next time you’re on. If ya can’t bring something to the table, you got to bring some, come on, come on, bring something to the table. I want you to do the next breaking things so we can ask you. So I know that you can’t say anything. I get it. We all get it. It’s all fun and games, but I will tell our listeners in the List Perfectly group on Facebook. And we’ll put a link below. Clara, Co-CEO and co-founder of List Perfectly will drop hints sometimes. Yeah, she does. I’ll catch a little Easter egg every now and again. And they are notorious if you haven’t noticed going live and just making announcements, they don’t say, “Hey, we’ve got something for ya.” Well, I mean, in this case, yeah, we know that something new is coming every week, but it’s typically not their style to say, “we’ve got something for you next month.” “We’ve got something for you in a week.” “We’ve got something for you tomorrow.” Stay tuned. They just go live and be like, “hey, here you go. We’ve just doubled your listing background removers, Hey, here you go. Here’s some bulk stuff.” So make sure that you’re subscribed to the YouTube channel too. And in the Facebook group, because they’ll typically go live in both. I think that that’s a great feature. There’s no teasing. It’s just like you wake up one day and it’s in your List Perfectly catalog or Clara and Amanda or one or the other is live letting you know about something that just got released.

Patrick:

Yeah. And also always, you know, a good reminder too, if, if you’re working in List Perfectly and you think of something that can work better for you submit a feature request, they’re gonna come through. If it’s something that is going to be valuable, every single one is reviewed. So I would highly encourage it if you’re honestly, if you’re seriously using List Perfectly and you go, “I wish they would do this.” You should tell us, you should really tell us I highly encourage it. Um, you’d never know what kind of seed you’re planting, for the whole community. It’s not, not just you too.

Liz:

So do you get to review them when they come in too and you have those conversations with the List Perfectly team?

Patrick:

I do. I review, I review feature requests, and you know, we really do review each one when you submit it, you’re going to get a response that is more of an automated response that it’s been received and everything. And that’s just purely because you know, it’s going to get reviewed, it’s going to get, you know, we’re going to think about it. We’re going to review development and everything. And that process doesn’t, we can’t possibly issue a personalized response immediately for that. We want to take our time and, and it to be valuable for the person submitting and for our team to have some time to review it and see what can be done. I would encourage the requests to be submitted and everything.

Doug:

And you told us last time you were on that you personally see and review every single one that comes in.

Patrick:

It’s still true.

Doug:

Is there an announcement around office hours with Teresa Cox?

Patrick:

Yeah. You know what, we are going to be, so typically we’ve been doing office hours on Tuesday evenings. We’re going to switch that time to Thursdays. So a little more in the, in the middle of the day. What I would encourage everyone to do is to take advantage of this, if you can. If you can’t, reach out to us and let us know a question that you want to be covered or something like that, or, you know, whatever you would find to be valuable and everything. So yeah, we’re going to make that change this upcoming week. And this is just simply to try out and see, you know, see if it’s a better time for, for people to be able to make it, if it works better for them, see how it goes.

Liz:

I like that. You know, you took customer feedback of, “hey, I love the idea of office hours, but I can’t do it in the evenings.” So you change it up and see what works. So yeah, I’m looking forward to the change for office hours. Stay tuned. You guys look in the Facebook group. You’ll actually see. So this kind of leads into one of the features that I love about List Perfectly, that Patrick, I hear you have integrated is the banner. When you log into List Perfectly, there’s a banner and the office hours will be announced there along with the link to go directly to office hours. So as a reminder, office hours have changed. So be sure to look forward to that announcement in Instagram, Facebook group and on the banner in your List Perfectly catalog.

Doug:

All right. Well, thanks Patrick for joining us and revealing what you could in your update section, and we’ve promised to have you on regularly and you can come on and spill the beans.

Patrick:

Cool. Cool. Thanks for having me.

Liz:

Next time the can better be full of beans and I’m going to kick it. I’m not going to spill it. I’m going to kick it. I don’t know. I understand. Some things you just got to work on and keep quiet. I get it, but it’s always fun to tease you.

Patrick:

Don’t you like to be surprised?

Liz:

I do like the surprise. Actually, I do, you know, it’s that element of surprise, like, “oh, let me log in and see what the banner says today. What’s new, you know, so I think that’s really, really cool. Thank you again, Patrick, for joining us this week.

Patrick:

Of course. Thank you.

Doug:

Thank you. And we will speak with you soon.

 Seller Shoutouts and News

Doug:

All right, Liz, don’t freak out. We do have news, but we have breaking news, breaking news. Our friends PhotoRoom just won three awards in the Google play best of 2021.

Liz:

That is amazing. Congratulations, PhotoRoom. So what three awards were they?

Doug:

First of all, is User’s Choice award, then Best App then Best Everyday Essentials.

Liz:

I can totally see that. And I will tell you, I don’t know if you did Doug, but I went and I voted for PhotoRoom.

Doug:

I did too.

Liz:

Oh, awesome. Yeah. And I can say that it’s one of my most used apps as we were just talking about.

Doug:

You know, it’s the best…I always say it, but every time it comes up, it’s the best background removal app I’ve seen. And then it’s got a ton of other functions I’m sure I don’t even know about.

Liz:

Yeah, they’ve got a lot.

Liz and Doug:

So congratulations.

New Speaker:

Oh. It’s like we were, we’re not ending the show. What, what?

Doug:

We’re completing each other’s sandwiches.

Liz:

You know what this means? You guys, I got stuck with the bad news again this week. I know. Yeah. Thanks for that setup. I appreciate it, Doug. Yeah, I know. Here we go. So it’s really not as bad as some people may think. So pay attention Depop sellers. This was a huge outroar when eBay announced it, but Depop is introducing payments. So Depop will be managing their own payments. Now we’re picking up, well, I shouldn’t say no more PayPal. However, it will be similar to eBay’s Managed Payments. So Depop Payments is going to be their new payment method. And it’s going to be powered by Stripe Connect, which means that I’m going to read it straight from their site. “You’ll be able to offer Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit and debit card, as well as PayPal in your shop.” Just like with eBay and the same that, you know, I kind of applauded eBay for this is giving buyers more payment options. When I think of Depop, I think of Gen Z, when I think of PayPal, Gen Z is nowhere in my brain. No, no. They are using Apple Pay, Google Pay ,and credit cards. So this makes sense. We’ll put a link down in the show notes to the Depop page explaining this. But just a quick announcement that yes, if you sell on Depop they will begin managing payments. I haven’t had it pop up on my app yet, but some users are getting pop-ups on their app. A little banner seeing that it will start in 2022.

Doug:

Yes. It’s changed. Sorry. But more payment options means more buyers.

Liz:

Yeah. So it’s a win.

Doug:

Okay. So I think it’s a win. So I’m going to resend the wah wah wah for you.

Liz:

Thank you. But I know some sellers do like their instant payment via PayPal.

Doug:

Yeah. I mean, but you gotta be open to you gotta be open to change. It’s more efficient to do all the payments via the platform. At least on eBay, you can get paid with, you know, different options. You have some choice. The thing with eBay is the rollout, frankly wasn’t great. So they could have done a better job. Hopefully Depop does a better job with the rollout.

Liz:

I think they will. When you think about it, Depop has a lot less users. Maybe it’ll be a little less to manage for Depop when it comes to that changeover. So there we go. That’s my good/bad news.

Doug:

Now let me ask you this. I know that you are active on the Poshmark, not just this past weekend, I’m still learning it myself, but tell us about this My Shoppers tab.

Liz:

Yeah. So this is something that Poshmark announced at PoshFest. So let me backup a second. Happy birthday Poshmark. 2021 will mark Poshmark’s ten-year anniversary.

Doug:

Well, let me, let me do a little teaser. I’m going to be like Patrick, tell you a little something, but not tell you the whole thing. So the 10th, the Ppshaversary, the Poshday, 10th birthday is coming up next week. And you know, when it’s your 10th birthday, you do some crazy stuff. You feel like you’re growing up. You’re almost a teenager. So there may be, maybe there’ll be something from List Perfectly, maybe doing some stuff with some sellers next week. We’ll see. You’ll have to wait and see.

Liz:

That’s awesome. We’ll have to wait and see. Anyway, circling back around ,happy birthday Poshmark. I will stay tuned to see what in the world happens next week. I’m kind of excited for that. Oh my gosh. I get a Poshmark announcement and a List Perfectly announcement next week. That’s too cool. So you asked me about the My Shoppers tab. They rolled it out and I was kind of sleeping on it and I found it last week and I was like, huh, let me see how this works. Last week, a lot of my sales came from me making offers via the My Shoppers tab. I typically don’t send out offers or take likes and put them into bundles and send offers on bundles and make comments. I just don’t. Maybe I’m not a great Posher. I don’t know for me, Poshmark sustains. They’re like, you know, my coffee money and my gas money. They don’t pay the main bills, but this past week I started using it once a day and my sales have increased. I don’t know what’s going on last week, I was able to go into my Closet Insights. I listed 30 new items last week. That’s it–30 new items. And I had over $850 in sales. For me, that’s not my typical Poshmark sales. My typical is like $500 maybe, but I moved a lot of merchandise and I was able to do that. I didn’t run any sales. I didn’t do any Black Friday specials. I didn’t do anything for Black Friday in any of my stores. I just did my typical stuff. And then with this Poshmark My Shoppers tab, I was just able to bundle items and send out offers. And it saved me a bunch of time. If I were to have done it manually, it was actually really easy to use. And we talked with Patrick earlier. I’m all, I’m a click snob. Like I don’t want to have to click a hundred times to make an offer. And this tool is actually, I really like it so much that I made a YouTube video on my channel about it.

Doug:

Oh, we’re going to put that in the show notes and we’ll get Liz some traffic to her YouTube channel.

Liz:

Yeah, exactly what I need. I appreciate all 230 of you that follow me.

Doug:

You’ll get one of those plaques to hang on your wall one of these days.

Liz:

Right? Yeah. By the time I’m like 85…Posher have been doing this for a little while. Since it was released. There’s a lot of content out there. A hundred times better than mine. Somebody that is a native Poshmark seller will be so much better at explaining this than I do. However, you’re seeing it through the eyes of somebody that’s not a typical Posher that is learning this. So if that resonates with you and you want to learn more about the My Shoppers tab, you can watch my YouTube video then head over to Instagram and search that hashtag and find Poshers that are a million times better than me and follow their content.

Doug:

And you know, right out of the gate results for you too. That’s pretty cool.

Liz:

Yea, it was, it was.

Doug:

Well, that’s cool. That’s a good new Poshmark tool to put in your arsenal.

Liz:

Yeah. So I’m kind of digging it right now, first week using it and so far so good. As far as reselling news this week, Doug, I think that’s about it. Do you have anything else to add?

Doug:

No, I think that’s kind of, that’s all the news that fits Liz.

Liz:

Awesome. Hey, guess what? We’ve got a couple of sellers shout outs this week.

Doug:

I do like seller shout outs, but let me just let me put this in there Liz…

Liz:

Am I rushing you? I’m so sorry.

Doug:

Am I interrupting you? I am. We love the seller shout outs and we try to do it when we can, but we would love maybe a little love back. We’d love for you to leave a podcast review at Apple Podcasts if that’s where you listen, but we would also love, you know, List Perfectly reviews too.

Liz:

Facebook, Yelp, Google reviews.

Doug:

Okay. Show us a little love if we’ve helped you. But anyway, back on track, Liz, what’s your seller shout out of the week?

Liz:

Oh my gosh. I’m so excited for both of these. So first they snuck it in just like Clara does in the Facebook group with these little Easter eggs, poshkings in one of their Black Friday sale announcements announced that coming up in 2022, they are starting a YouTube channel.

Doug:

Nice. I like that.

Liz:

That. I do too. I mean, there is a lot of content out there and we have interviewed the poshkings. They have been on, you know, various other podcasts and YouTube channels as guests, but they’re so full of knowledge and they share so much on Instagram. I’m really excited to see how they do on YouTube and to consume their content. You know, maybe if I would’ve had them on YouTube, I would’ve learned about the My Shoppers tab months ago and been making more money.

Doug:

Oh, that is exciting. Liz. And you know, I’m a fan of the poshkings, John and Brad. And I think that, I think it’s going to be a cool channel. They’re great together. Surely they will have matching outfits, but it’s going to be a great new resource for the seller community. So Liz and we have a congrats this week for our friend Kim and I hope I’m saying her last name, right? Kim Kayaree. She’s made the jump. She’s a full-time reseller. Now we met her at the BOSS Reseller Remix. And I think at the time she was, you know, she was trying to make the decision and starting to make that decision. Should I, or shouldn’t I, you know, pros and cons and all that, but welcome, welcome to the family full time, Kim.

Liz:

So happy for you Kim. Those are some exciting seller shout outs this week. And I cannot wait to get back to doing more seller shout outs every week. Doug.

Doug:

Yeah, we’ll do a we’ll we’ll start working on that a little bit more. Because it’s important to give that recognition.

Liz:

It really is. And if you are someone in the community that sees another seller in the community that deserves a shout out, email us at podcast at Liz, perfectly.com.

Well, we see each other and we saw Patrick.

Liz:

Yeah, you’re right. Okay. Okay.

Patrick:

You’re not going to see me next week. So you lied.

Liz:

No, exactly.
