Touring and Customizing Your List Perfectly Catalog

Understanding the New List Perfectly Catalog

Clara: Hello, everybody. Welcome. Welcome. Welcome. My name is Clara. I am the co-founder and chief strategy officer of List Perfectly. I’m going to bring my co-host. Introduce yourself, please.

Danna:
Hello, everybody. I’m Danna Crawford, the Director of the Community of Engagement, and I am excited about this topic today, Clara.

Clara: Me too. Me too. So, to those of you watching, buckle up. I came with a new catalog, but Danna has the classic catalog. Okay, so what you’re going to expect, what we’re going to do today, all right, is explain and demonstrate the new customizable List Perfectly catalog, and we’re going to compare it with the classic version. We heard you loud and clear. And to those of you concerned about taking away the classic view, don’t worry. And I’ll tell you soon, stay watching and I’ll tell you why. Okay. So we’re going to talk about the new catalog features. We will talk about customization options, the mobile, and List Perfectly model functions, and we will compare all of that with the classic view.

So, what a topic today! What a topic because I’m going to highlight the features of the new List Perfectly catalog. So, without much further ado, we just already explained.

Danna, what will we be doing? Here’s an overview: I’m going to share my screen, and I’m going to stop. I will start presenting and showing you the new List Perfectly catalogs, but don’t worry—Danna, our director of community, has you covered. She heard you loudly and clearly about your concerns about the classic view.

And definitely, we’re going to do a versus the classic List Perfectly catalog that has been with you for five years. Happy birthday to the catalog that has been with us for five years. Incredible. So, let’s go and see what we have with the new List Perfectly catalog. One of the things that we heard loud and clear is that some people want to help you understand that this incredible catalog is fully customizable.

So, the first thing I’m going to be touching is adjusting the column’s width. Okay. I think that once you change this column width, no matter if you refresh it, I’m going to refresh my window right now. So bear with me. I have a little, and I have my family watching TV. Okay. Don’t worry. But if you see, I adjusted the column, and it keeps, no matter how much you refresh, it will keep the length and width of that column. I’m sorry about that column.

That can apply to every single column. For example, you want to see all the marketplaces and complete names. It’s possible. Now, the other thing I want to discuss is the capacity to customize this. So, at the top, we have connections, a CSV button, customization, and bulk editing.

Buckle up because I’m going to tell you how amazing it is to do bulk edits with these new catalogs. I’m also going to show you how it was with the classic catalog for those of you who are interested in editing listings in the classic catalog versus the new catalog. First, we’re going to go to customization, and that’s my favorite part.

What do you think about this customization feature, Danna?

Danna: Oh, I like the flexibility to make my columns large or small and arrange them in the order I prefer.

Clara: Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. That’s what we want to shorten today because Danna’s order of presentation is not the same order that some other Customers might need.

So that’s the critical thing that we want to show. So today, I’m going to click right next to bulk edit in the upper right corner. We’re going to click on Customize. Now, to those of you who are eBay sellers, whether you’re a native eBay seller or maybe you started in Poshmark on Mercari and now you’re listing on eBay, you’re going to find that these, thank you, eBay, are the main sponsors again this year.

We want to tell you that we respect what eBay did with the capacity for customization because you must customize these to what you need. So we’re going to add size and material, and I’m going to show you, and this is from the, we have different columns. We have item specifics. We have pricing and costs.

We have management. And now we have the magic column. This is your friend. This is where you want to do your magic. The arrange column. So, did you see how I clicked on material size and color? So here it is. We can take it up. All right. And I wanted, let’s say, the material after, let’s see, we’re just playing.

Okay. It doesn’t make sense. To those of us who are sellers, it doesn’t make sense, but I just want to show you. So I took that. I’m going to click save. And now you can see how material it’s here. It’s showing you, for example, that this Jowar obviously is metal, this Armani suit is run, and the plaid black wool suit is wool.

And again, maybe we’re like, no, that wasn’t a good change. Honestly, I don’t like it. So you can rearrange it again. Maybe you move it after actions, okay? Or brand. And now there you have it. We have material that we were able to move right after the brand. But maybe you’re like, no, you know what? I changed my mind.

I don’t need the material. We go back again to the item specifics, where we click initially and will unclick the material. We will unclick the size. And let’s say we want to leave. I do like the size. As a clothing seller, I love size because I sometimes get so many questions from customers, and I’m not like, did I list the right size?

So, I find that size is an important column to keep. Sometimes, what you want to do is keep it there. So now we’re going to take the size at the end, and we want it after the brand and the same concept with any of the values. Here you go. Size, obviously, it’s not, in this case, Armani’s Europe size number 40.

It’s right after the brand, okay, and it’s telling us here that it’s sold on eBay and was listed in Whatnot. So these are things, Danna, that I think we didn’t have that capacity to do in the past. And as someone that you, Danna, used the List Perfectly classic view, how did you feel going through this change?

Danna is a member of Team List Perfectly, but as a power-selling mom, Danna, how was that for you, honestly?

Danna: Everyone who knows me knows that I embrace change. I’ve been one of those people who, when eBay rolls something out, I believe it’s for the better of the community. And they do it for a reason.

I feel the same about List Perfectly. When Something rolls out, it’s to help me be a better reseller and make life easier for me. So, I always embrace change.

Clara: So yeah, it’s changed, but as a director of community, you know, we have a very opinionated section of customers who love the classic you. Are you going to help us to address that later?

Danna: Yes. Because, in my opinion, it doesn’t even compare. The new version is much more advanced and user-friendly, and the most crucial part is that it makes us get more done faster. And that’s important.

Clara: Yeah, that’s faster. I know it’s faster. But we heard you loud and clear. I even took the concerns, okay, from every social media channel. Stay tuned because we’re going to address them and close them by the end. I will address, for example, Clara, I find editing in the classic catalog easier.

We’ll show you; Danna and I will show you. So stay tuned. We’re going to go back to the catalog now. So I just show you how we can adjust it with, rearrange, add, and remove columns. We can make it look like the old. For example, I’m going to move size. I’m going to get Size.

And I think we didn’t. Did we have? Can you tell me the columns that we had on the classic one, Danna? Let’s make sure we have them in the right order.

Danna: First, we have the photo, then we have the title, the SKU, the price, and the platforms. All

Clara: Oh, quantity. Okay. So we’re going to remove the brand. Huh. Quantity and after quantity.

Danna: And then that’s where we edit. Update.

Clara: Okay.

Danna: Created with the dates, updated date, created date, and then notes. That’s it.

Clara: That’s it. Okay. I’m going to remove keywords. And we’re going to go here, and there it is. I’m going to save in there.

You have it. Our new List Perfectly catalog looks like the classic List Perfectly catalog. This is for those of you who are not in the Pro plan. Don’t worry; we trickle this new catalog into all plans. Okay. Obviously, those of you on the simple plan will not see, for example, quantity.

All right. You’re not going to see, for example, notes. But you will see the rest of the fields. The same goes for business. Everybody can go from the classic to the new List Perfectly view of the catalog. Now, one of the things that I want to get into right now, okay, because I think on this, one of the things that is most important is just emphasizing, I’m going to show you now, I have a tablet here, and I want to show everybody, But in this case, on my tablet, the tablet conserves aspect of the List Perfectly desktop new catalog.

But Danna, would you be so kind as to show how it shows on your iPhone? I’ll show you how it shows on my phone. I have an Android. So, we have a different view if you pay attention to Android. And what does this mean? We have two views now. To see on the desktop and catalog. So I’m going to show you that it’s important that you determine what you like best.

We have the grid view in the upper right corner, right under bulkheaded, which is what we’re enjoying right now. And we have the list view. All right. I like that either will allow you to select listings, but in this case, to work in bulk. Okay. This is the magic of this. In the past, if I had to cross-post, Let’s say now we can show 10, 25, 50, or 100 listings per page.

The old catalog is the same. Nothing has changed there. The most important thing is that we can select in bulk. No longer do you have to do a hundred clicks to select listings? This is incredible. In this case, I only have 20 or 21 listings in this account of List Perfectly, but I wanted to show the difference between the grid view, all right, and the list view.

However, for those of you who are going to go on mobile, let me get back to you. For those of you who are going on mobile, you’re going to notice that we restricted you. Haha, Danna with the classic view. There she is. So I am with the new view of the mobile. And Danna, if you pay attention to the new view, it is a grid view.

Oh, so shiny. It’s a grid view. And that’s By design because the list view on mobile is a little more challenging. Danna has the classic view. So we will show you that we did that very much by intention because we want to make sure that when you have it on, when you’re thrifting, when you’re shopping, etc., on mobile, if you have the list view.

It’s easy to select too many listings simultaneously, especially those with a small device. I have an Android, and it’s one of those Note Androids. So it’s very big screen and purpose. For my personal purposes, that’s my preference. I prefer mobile. I prefer Android. So those are customizations.

You may wonder why we made these changes. So the main reason that we had to make these changes is that our catalog is five years old. I’ll be honest to you. Thank you, for supporting us five years with the old catalog, with the classic catalog. And it’s amazing. But what happens is that it’s holding us back from working, from making List Perfectly work faster. And that’s one of the things that we need to keep in mind. And if you find the new catalog intimidating, remember you can customize that catalog to look exactly like Danna. Exactly like the classic view, right? If you desire. Yeah, because there is, and it’s understanding that, we’ve been reading the concerns about, versus new versus classic this morning, and that’s something that we really wanted to address with our community.

Also, on top of being able to adjust the width of the columns, rearrange columns, remove columns, okay, and have grid and list view, it’s just incredible, and I ask you to do a test when it comes to speed. Now on the classic, now this is where Danna is gonna come.

Okay, Danna, are you ready to share that classic view? So there you have it. I’m going to address the classic view. Thank you, Danna. Danna’s been with us a couple of years already, so she’s been using only the classic view. She started to work in List Perfectly, and she knew nothing but the classic view for two years.

So we must keep in mind that I can assure you that yes, can we do things, can we improve things on the new List Perfectly catalog? You bet! And that’s why we’re not going to take down the classic view until we make sure we iron out any rough challenges. We will keep our classic view and make sure we address each of your concerns.

How is it going, Danna? Do you have your classic view? Yes.

Danna: Okay. Oh, selected.

Clara: So can you scroll up, Danna?

Okay. To those of you there, you have it. Okay. It’s as you can see. Oh, you are on the. I think you Are in the Express Editor, maybe? Let’s go to the Listing View, Danna. Go to the top menu. Can you see it? No, you’re showing us the Express Editor. So go up. No worries.

So, go to Listings and then go to My Listings. All catalog. There we go. There we go. And your screen is a little small. Why is it so small, Danna? It is. Yeah. Hold on. Let me see if I can. Oh, there we have it. Okay. Let’s see what it would do if we did this. No, I like it like this. There we go. So there you have it.

We promised that we would show you the Classic Catalog. This is, thank you to those of you, there is no free plan on List Perfectly, so thank you. Thank you for hanging in there with this classic view. To those of you who love the classic view, today I’m going to address a couple of things, okay? First of all, we can see at first glance that The trash icon is to the right, alone by itself on a red icon.

Then, between updated and quantity, we have the pencil that is to edit. Then we have the templates, and we have duplicates. And then the first thing that we have is to start selecting. So Danna, would you be so kind as to start selecting alternatively so we remember people? So let’s say, Danna, that you want to edit.

Let’s say five listings. Okay. Let’s do that. Okay. Randomly select. Okay. Don’t do it right next to it. So we want to show that if you have, you still have the capacity to do this with a new catalog, but in the All is Perfectly catalog, this is one of the best things that we have, which we can randomly select listings.

So there it is, Diana. So what that means is that to edit. Five listings or cross. In this case, we are on the cross-posting view of List Perfectly. So in this listing view, A, you can’t edit. You gotta this because you can only individually edit. Then, if you want to select, let’s say, 10, 100 listings to end, to update, to cross-post, you have to do 100 listings.

So that is a challenge. Now let’s go to the part that we can edit. So now let’s go to listing menu at the top there now. And let’s show people, show us the express editor and show us how to, how it was to edit listings before.

Now I can go to the top right next to image and I can click all at once. Let’s say that we want to edit, let’s say we’re not hiding drafts anymore, or let’s say that you want to select, okay, from certain platforms, do you see, you can select your, Not sold listings or right on eBay. Let’s say something like that.

Okay. And that’s absolutely possible, too, as well. So there goes List Perfectly, which shows you what is not there. And we have 21 items, as you can see, not sold on eBay. And at the same time, quickly.

So imagine this. Now, I no longer have to do 21 clicks or 38 clicks or whatever, or 10 clicks like that, to select the 10 listings that I want to edit. But now this is the best part. This is my favorite, Danna. Oh, and I know it’s your favorite, too. In the upper right corner, above grid or list view, right next to customize, we have the green button that says bulk edit.

Now check this out, guys. Okay. And this is amazing. Let’s say you see how we have quantity one here, then I have quantity 10, then I have quantity. Five here, all right, for this plaid black wool. Then I have a quantity of 100 for the Thor window shades and front windshield. I have the 100; look what I can do.

I can put everything in one, and look what List Perfectly does. All of a sudden, you have everything in one. So we automatically adjust—all the listings. We can do that with anything you can imagine. All right? Or we can leave it like nothing. Then, we return to the same old pricing we had before.

But you see how important it finds you the items you marked as one. Or let’s say, there you have it. You can do multiple things. You can here, for example, in the title 1984 Jaguar Touring Car Exhaust Original Part Blue. Okay. Let’s say let’s put an SKU on here on the second item, the Thorpe Tranquility Sanctuary Van stock.

Okay. Let’s say my, this was my, let’s say a one, two, three. All right. Then we’re going to put the price as, I don’t know. When in doubt, always put it at 50. I always say with items that I don’t know that I know it’s not going to be expensive. I can adjust everything to 19. 95, then I can save right next to the top.

And there you have it. We saved all those changes.

Danna: So much faster.

Clara: So Danna, would you please show us the express lister on the classic view?

So we are. Can you, just in case, let’s scroll up, and we’re going to show you, go to listings. We want to show our beautiful audience. So you couldn’t do it from my listings view. Okay. You must scroll down to express editor and CSP download, where Danna is. So now, Danna, can you click on disable inline edit so we can do it because you have it enabled?

So, those of you in the community, thank you for hanging in there. I can’t believe the bulk edit, as much as you want to call it bulk, but look at the number of clicks we have to do.

In the other one, we do all the changes up to 100 listings. Then, with one click, you can look at that update, cancel, and select versus the other. You select it in bulk, and then you update changes with one. That is incredible. So Danna, how was this change for you?

Danna: Oh my goodness. I was relieved because I like time is valuable as a reseller and an employee at work List Perfectly.

It’s just that my time is limited, so I really like to get things done fast. So I was impressed that I could log in and do this a lot quicker. It’s made my life easier, for sure. I know some people—I think there were maybe three people who preferred this version—and all I can say is, are you kidding me?

I think you haven’t experienced it because it’s a huge difference. Now let’s keep in mind that also in the past, if we wanted to go on the edit view, we would open new windows. Remember the new tabs? Yeah. So that’s another thing that we wanted to highlight with you that we would open.

Clara: New tabs left and right, and that’s something the new List is perfect. We’re looking, and we’re working exhaustively. Thank you, tech team. We love your tech team, and the whole team is perfectly amazing. Okay. Thank you, community, for hanging in there, but I promise you we’re taking down notes. We will not implement something and force you to do something until we don’t make sure that this fits.

Everybody’s Needs. So, if you have any more concerns, you can go to our Facebook group. I’m going to present right now. Hold on. But I’m going to present right now really quickly. I wanted to show the Facebook group where we can have, and there was here, I think, a post I wanted to show.

There it is. List Perfectly. Please don’t get rid of the classic view. So we have 18 likes. And we took the time to reply to each and each. Each item here is where you can come. Thank you for sharing. Would you please let us know which part of it? Do you find everything messy looking? So it’s just to give you an idea: join us in a Facebook group, or most importantly, email us.

So I just want to remind you that this is List Perfectly on the new view. Okay. You can easily hide, for example, drafts. All right. Here, you have the button, and if it’s showing their actions, okay.

Here’s your actions button. There, you can cross-post only from your PC, edit, duplicate, add templates, or delete. So it’s a different view—definitely much easier. And at the same time, we did this because we needed it. That’s all technology. The class, the classic view of List Perfectly.

Honestly, all technology will make you go slower and glitchy. So that’s why we have to work together. I need you. You have trusted me for five years. All right. And Hey, happy birthday, List Perfectly, five years. I’m asking you to trust us on this. Give it a try.

In reality, because we know that out of thousands of customers, only 0. 05 percent are on the classic view. But what matters is that the 0. 05 is very concerned. And I don’t care if it is such a Low number of people on the classic view. What we do care is that you help us make this new catalog amazing, like the classic view.

We will make it happen together, but I need you to start sending those help requests and saying, “I don’t like this.”

You guys, we don’t have a free plan. I’m not going to force you to a new interface if it’s not working right. Okay. Am I saying that this is working flawlessly? No. Otherwise, I could have forced it on everybody now. So rest assured, nobody. It’s not going to force anything on you. We all go at our own pace. Danna?

Danna: Yes. And that’s the beauty of it. You can take your time. You can jump in. I’m a jump-in girl, but not everybody’s that way. For some of us, it just takes a little time to adjust, but the good news is it’s all for the better at the end of the day.

Clara: Yeah. Yeah, no. Absolutely. Now, I want to recap a little. Okay. So, I want to Summarize the benefits of upgrading to the new catalog. Again, I know you heard me talking with Danna. Okay. But we show you classic versus, so let’s summarize. You can make the new catalog look exactly like the classic, but what is most important is that it will have fewer glitches and an X at an incredibly different speed.

Pro Plus Business, all plans for zero extra. We never change prices in five years. I want you, please take, you can trust us. We will not force you. I have no free plan. Companies that have a free plan have the luxury to do, let’s say, impose a little more on their technology. We don’t do that. We know that we have to be very careful with the product quality we’re delivering to you.

Danna: Sometimes, we’re afraid of change. I am so impressed that List Perfectly is always listening to us and updating to meet our needs. Also, we help each other out at the listing parties, and there is 411.

Clara: Customer support 411 is there every day, just one hour before we went live with Danna, my customer care team, Teresa Cox, and sometimes different List Perfectly team members.

Ready to help you. Ready to help you. And Listing Party is free for any List Perfectly member. Yes. Also, if you decide to sign up for the 100 free listings we offer, you get 100 free listings to test this. You can test the classic view. You can test the new catalog view. You can test Listing Party; you can test the bulk edit everything.

There you have it. Okay. I want to hear it all. Send me questions, suggestions, and Concerns. Okay.

Maybe you are frustrated. Let me know. Okay. We, and if you, let’s say that you miss this life. Okay. And you’re watching later, please. Okay. Feel free to go to our Facebook group. I’m there. I’m there. I’m reading the comments. Okay. My team is telling me, Clara, this is not working great. So I want to address, start sending your questions.

But at the same time, I did my homework because I wanted to. I have a list of concerns that were shared that I got. I extracted these concerns with Danna. We extracted them from different social media channels. So, users find it more challenging to edit individual items in the new catalog. As I said, we no longer show you how you can edit individually.

We no longer open new tabs. You no longer ask for these, and we no longer open new tabs. Okay. That reduces the risk of making mistakes when editing. You can do the bulk edit without having to click update, save, etc. Another of our concerns, Danna, I think it was the comfort that the classic view provided.

I know you got used to the classic view and the transition. Sometimes, transitions can be difficult. Not everybody embraces change like Danna, but I can assure you, you can make that new catalog look exactly like the classic. It will have the same columns, with the difference that you’ll be doing fewer clicks.

And on top of that, it’s going to be faster. Some members feel that the new catalog is too busy. Comment right now. If you think that it’s too busy, let us know. Because it actually removes and simplifies things. So now you don’t have to go to different views. For example, you don’t have to go to Express Editor to edit, and then you can return to my listings, etc.

And no longer you have to, if I want to edit or cross post a hundred listings, no longer, we have to do 100 clicks. That, for me, was a game changer, Danna. That’s one of my favorites. Which one is yours, Danna?

Danna: Oh my goodness.

Just being able to cross-post faster is my favorite. It allows me to get it done quickly. And the, excuse me, the fact that I can use my phone to get the listing assistant—that’s so much fun to be able to get. I can just take my pictures and boom—the titles and descriptions are in there, just for my photos.

That’s still to the. Today, it blows my mind that I can get all that done. So before I even log in and start my day, I can get five items done while my coffee’s brewing.

Clara: Meanwhile, you’re sleepy in your pajamas, making the coffee. You’re like listing assistant, create the listings.

Yeah, and you can do it from mobile, tablet, Android, iPhone iPad desktop Microsoft, what is it? The Microsoft Surface. You name it, you can do it. This is possible with all devices. The only function that we don’t do from the only functions we don’t do from mobile is auto delist in the cross-posting.

But of course, we’re always working on new upgrades. Buckle up. Okay. We’ll let you know what’s coming. You know what, Danna? I also heard on Facebook that some features, like the express lister, the listing assistant, and the auto, the lister, and the auto mark, were being criticized.

So, the auto-sold and delisted are only available on the new catalog, which requires additional learning and possibly upgrading to a more ex. I want to remind you, everybody, that we haven’t changed prices. Okay, at all since we started back in 2019, that’s us. There are no add-ons. All right. There are no extra fees.

If everything from the list perfectly is unlimited, the only thing that is not unlimited and has a cup is the listing assistant for the room. Things that we don’t provide barcodes look up. I love the barcode. You just put the barcode right next to the camera on your desktop and click. And it will create the listing as well.

So that’s something that I want you to consider. And when I said, please trust us. We will not increase prices or try to pull a fast one on you guys. You have known us for five years already. We won’t do that. That’s not the way List Perfectly operates.

Danna: Google Lens. I forgot to mention Google Lens, back in the day, as a seasoned eBay seller, I would always have to go and look up sold listings.

I don’t even bother with that anymore because of using Google Lens, which is built into List Perfectly. So after my photo’s uploaded, I can click on the lens, and it’s okay. These are all listed for about this price. It’s on eBay, Amazon, and all these other sites. So I know how to price my item and can move on to the next listing.

So I just talked to someone recently who used a different site other than List Perfectly, and she just came over, and she is blown away by how fast she was able to get her listings done with the help of Google Lens. Google Lens

Clara: is what it is. What is an optimizer? So if you don’t have, okay, let’s say that you have the business or the pro plan and you don’t want to somehow, you don’t want to use the listing assistance, Google Lens is the tool to go and whether you’re, maybe you’re using a tool, and you want to combine it, but Google Lens What a tool to optimize your listings and also prices.

I love Terapeak. I love you, eBay. I love eBay. Yes, we’re sponsors of eBay Open and eBay Kickoff Parties. I love it. I love Terapeak. But Terapeak is one of the pieces of data that Google Lens gathers, so just keep that in mind.

We are still fixing many things on the new analytics. The easiest part now is that we can have a listing and send it to the analytics page, even though it might be from a channel we don’t support.

We offer analytics integration with Custom marketplaces. If you don’t know what a custom marketplace is, that’s how you integrate. Whatnot. Yes. List Perfectly, adding whatnot. I don’t know. I don’t know. But anyway, okay. Back to the topic. Okay. Back to the topic. So, I want to remind you that the new analytics page is all right.

So, we have a referral section. Okay. Then, within that referral section, you can ask to join the referral area. And here we have—start here—your links and codes, statistics, referrals, payout, and resources. So here we have a section of resources that you’re more than welcome to use, whether you want to use these resources or maybe you want to use other logos.

Please feel free, everybody, to use our logo. This is what List Perfectly is about delivering the right information to our community.

Anything, what would you say, Danna? So what would you say in this case to the people who are on the classic view and tried it and were overwhelmed or maybe found difficulty navigating the new catalog? What would you say, final words? What would you tell them, please?

Danna: I would tell them to attend a 411 and get some hands-on experience or contact me. I’d be happy to hold your hand and help you out because if you could see it firsthand, you’d See what you’re missing, and it’s going to save you so much time in the day.

Clara: So everybody, okay, I want to see you on the Facebook group List Perfectly. Join the List Perfectly group, and you can also send us suggestions through the Listing Parties. If you don’t want to attend the Listing Party, you don’t have to. Send us a help request, alright? Please, 24 7, all plans. Nobody, everybody’s VIP on List Perfectly.

You don’t need to go to a pro-plus plan to get preference treatment. No. Simple, business, pro. Everybody gets preferential treatment. Thank you so much, everybody. Thank you so much. And I want to remind you that on Thursdays, we’re also doing reseller tips and listing parties.

We have a 24-seven. If you have insomnia like myself, okay, what better to do than listen? Just keep listing. Danna, thank you so much for taking this topic up with me. I appreciate it. I appreciate you coming to live with me.

Danna: Thank you so much for having me. Love to everybody.
